Snowdon: Watkin Path and Bwlch Main Ridge. August 2006
The Walk: After a rainy start the dark clouds gradually lifted as our party of six ascended the Watkin path. Andew and Terry saw off a hefty bull blocking the path while the rest of us waited at a safe distance. The route down along the Bwlch Main ridge was very pleasant as the clouds parted opening up dramatic and spectacular views. Refreshments: Dave provided home grown rocket and tomatoes to provide some class to our sandwich lunch. The summit cafe is as dreary a place as it was when I first visited it nearly forty years ago, but Richard was provided with a paper doylie to accompany his tea and scone. Return to home page
