Snowdon Walk, August 08
Tara and Malcolm drove up very early from London, and we had a guest appreance in the walking club from Sarah from Ras Al Khaimah. We all met at Pete's Eats late morning, and from there we caught the bus to Pen y Pass and walked up the Pyg Track to the summit, with the clouds clearing to give us a decent enough view. We strolled down the railway track, which was closed to trains (apart from a few for the workers on the new summit hotel). There followed a long slog back to Llanberis, but with brightening weather. We ate well at Pete's Eats, overeating as usual, despite Tara's calorie watch telling us that we probably hadn't used up enough energy to warrant such a feast. Ah well...
