| The weather just got better and better as the day progressed. By the time we reached the summit of Y Garn, the first peak of the ridge, we were in fine sunshine. We ate our lunch overlooking the Nantlle valley before pressing on up to the perilous-looking ridge to Mynydd Drws-y-coed.
