Moel Arthur and Penycloddiau, November 2006
The Walk: We delayed the walk by a day on account of an unneceesarily grim BBC forecast, yet the bad weather didn't materialise. For the first time I managed to forget the camera, so the photos above are from later walks. Terry, Richard and I set off up Moel Arthur on a sunny but chilly afternoon. The Iron Age forts offered additional interest on this longer than expected walk, and our converstaion turned to deriding our risible rail system. On the way back, traversing the west side of the hills, it became rather dark, so we put on a good pace and arrived back after a good three and a half hour stomp. Refreshments: Sandwiches at the halfway mark, upon a convenient log, were enhanced by sunshine and the spectacle of muddy cyclists.
