| Torrential rain in the morning and humid mist in the afternoon made this the dreariest weather that the walking club has had to endure. Nevertheless the Hanging Gate pub provided respite from the rain, homely food and a highly idiosyncratic landlady to divert us, as well as Hyde ale for Wendy. Mist caused us to escape the hills down to the canal through to Macclesfield, and thereby finding our way back to Tegg’s Nose. Back to Home Page |
