| A
bright hot day. Tara and Malcolm joined us from Betws. We met and started
at Graigfechan at the Three Pigeons pub and followed a well-used circular
route that took us up to Offa’s Dyke and Over Moel y Gelli. The fields
in the valley were lush with flowers and the lake peppered with of flags.
We had a conference in the proximity of bronze age burial mounds, and discussed
the interrelation of work and life, as you do. We descended via dozens of
stiles, which we noticed on account of our having to lift and pass Doris
over them. We drove to Ruthin Craft Centre for lunch and a dose of culture,
both of which proved marvellous. The burgers went down a treat, as did the
trout, and their bread and butter pud is always a hit. The gallery is really
looking smart these days; impressive ceramics show. Back
