Nant Francon, May 2007
After discovering a fine coffee spot in much maligned Bethesda, we strode off up the north side of Nant Ffrancon. We stopped for a ripe cheese lunch in the sunshine overlooking the valley, before descending the Priest's path to Afon Ogwen, listening to cuckoos along the way. We crossed the Afon Ogwen and returned along the south side along Pennant's road (Terry making friends with sleepy and suspiciously scratchy dogs) , and then the new cycle track to Bethesda. Having returned to the car we zoomed off to Pete's Eats and munched our way through salads, chips and spinach pie. A brief detour on the way back took us to Woodhouse Grove's old field centre near Fachwen. Back to Home Page
