Conwy to Penmaenmawr, October 2006
Walk: From Conwy Youth Hostel to Penmaenmawr following the North Wales Path. A large party set off up the mountain, mostly the Clitheroe contingent. Captain Terry held forth on navigation in the estuary from the heights of the hillside. Later the rain set in, and we decided to head down towards Penmaenmawr past the stone circles, which gave the women the idea of sacrificing a man in return for better weather and a train on time. The latter at least came true, although the dog refused to board it, and had to be bundled unceremoniously through the doors. Refreshments: A delightful tea procured by Katie and Fran back at the palatial youth hostel, with muffins and chocolate cake. Back to Walk Club Home Page
