Capel Curig and Llyn Crafnant, January 2007
The Walk: Started with a gear shopping spree in the new year sales in Betws and Capel, including new slippers and walking sticks (for us old gimmers). We had fabulous sunny weather, in the first half of the day, for our first outing of 2007. Caffine-fuelled Wendy led the way as we stormed across the fells from Capel Curig to Llyn Cravnant. After (Blue Shropshire) lunch we crossed back through dingy woods then chilly forest tracks, to arrive back in the twilight, famished. Refreshments: The Bryn Tyrch (Cobdens was closed) provided us with ample simple fare, washed down with fine ale. Back to West Kirby Walkers Home Page
