Rhosesmor Walk, October 2009
We set out on this circular walk around Rhosesmor expecting a dull chilly day, but before long the sun was out and warming us. The route we followed was from a series of walks around Wat's Dyke; it was tricky to follow the guidebook, however, and we had to resort to the map on several occasions because the path was either indistinct or obliterated. Once we overcame this inconvenience we decided that it made the walk quite an adventure, as we overcame the many obstacles. We came across donkeys and a herd of buffalo, as well as numerous pheasants, and we had good views at times over the Dee estuary, and I looked to see if I could spot Hoylake in the distance. Root vegetable soup and homemade bread completed the day back at our Hoylake home.
